Burned Children Recovery Foundation’s 24 hour Help Line
If you are in a moment of crisis or know some one that is in a moment of crisis you may call the Burned Children Recovery Foundation at our 24 hour Emergency Hot Line. This line is setup so we can help you with some of the largest questions you have now.
Important to Know 1st.
- You as a parent or family member need to know! A burn victim will need all of your support and strength now. Be strong, be confident, and be Loving.
- You need to control your emotions and expressions! Keep a smile or at least a confident look on your face. Remember that your child or family member is still the same person they were before the fire and you need to love them in that manner.
- From the first second you talk to them you need to let them know it will be OK and that you will be there with them.
- If your child or family member can hear and talk to you, then they have not given up, and that means you don’t either. Many people go on to live wonderfully happy and fulfilled lives after a fire and so can your child or family member.
When you call it will help if you have some information ready.

- Your child or family members gender
- Your location
- Your contact number or the number where we can call you back if needed
- How long ago did the accident happen
- Do you know the extent of the burn at this time.
